3D Studio Max 2010 Now Available for Download

Autodesk had again made a new breakthrough by releasing the latest version of its most celebrated and flagship 3d modeling/animation package, 3D Studio Max 2010.

You can now work seamlessly between different graphic processing tools and integrate them to 3dsmax. Software applications which include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Toxik, Autodesk Combustion, Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Mudbox can now be integrated into the 3dsmax user interface that works much like a plug-in.

Special mention to the much improved multi-threaded Viewport Renderer where real time update of the scene can now be viewed directly in the viewport with just a minimal difference in quality to the actual render.

The renderers, the super fast and efficient Scanline Renderer has improved its rendering qualities, as well as the integrated Mental Ray Renderer which can directly render scenes even with conventional 3dsmax materials and shaders.

Full support in hair and fur rendered by Mental Ray.

Also for programmers, 3Dsmax SDK/Application Programming Interface is now available to let you extend the software's capabilities ranging from the smallest modifier to the largest functionalities, you can customize 3dsmax the way you want it.

Autodesk® 3ds Max® 2010 software requires one of the following 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems:

Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional (Service Pack 2 or higher)
Microsoft® Windows® Vista (Business, Premium and Ultimate)
Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional x64
Microsoft® Windows® Vista 64 bit (Business, Premium and Ultimate)
3ds Max 2010 software requires the following internet browser:

Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6 or higher
3ds Max 2010 software requires the following supplemental software:

DirectX® 9.0c* (required), OpenGL® (optional)
*Some features of 3ds Max 2010 are only enabled when used with graphics hardware that supports Shader Model 3.0 (Pixel Shader and Vertex Shader 3.0). Check with your manufacturer to determine if your hardware supports Shader Model 3.0.
